The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) approved a merger between Kyvera Oy, Lappeenrannan Verkonrakennus Oy and Suur-Savon Sähkötyö Oy, which are subsidiaries of Suur-Savon Sähkö Oy, Kymenlaakson Sähkö Oy and Lappeenrannan Energia Oy, on 2 March 2016.
The FCCA investigated the impact of the merger on effective competition in the electricity, district heating and telecommunications network construction and maintenance market in Finland. The FCCA found that the merger does not significantly impede effective competition or cause notable harmful impacts on competition in that market.
The FCCA’s decision includes the business secrets of the parties involved. The decision can only be published after confidential information has been removed, which will take approximately two weeks.
