The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCAA) on 13 May 2014 gave its approval to a corporate deal in which the planning and consulting company Ramboll Finland acquires some of the activities of Pöyry Oyj.
The corporate deal applies to the housing construction and infrastructure planning and consultation, as well as the project management and building markets.
The FCAA found that the transaction does not significantly impede effective competition. After the transaction there will still be enough players to choose from, creating competitive pressure on the concentration. Consequently, the threshold of interference under the Competition Act was not crossed.
The decision handed down by the FCCA includes business secrets. The decision cannot be made public until after the business secrets have been removed, or in about two weeks.
